Chapter 4 (Animal Farm) Analysis

Storyboard Text

  • "Beasts of England, beasts of Ireland"
  • It is our priority to get rid of animal existence
  • Farmer Jones, despised the tyranny of “a pack of good-for-nothing animals” overthrowing the government, taking his leadership position and managing their own affairs. This seemed idealized to Jones, just when, the mantra ‘Beasts of England’ circulated the countryside.
  • On October 12th, at the crack of dawn when “the corn was cut and stacked and some of it was already threshed, a flight of pigeons came whirling through the air” and all was indefatigable until Jones entered.
  • “All the pigeons, to the number of thirtyfive, flew to and fro over the men’s heads and muted upon them from mid-air”
  • Without questioning his callousness, Jones and his men assembled, with half a dozen others belonging to Foxwood and Pinchfield. So, they intruded the five-barred gate and approached the cart-track that led to the farm.
  • Animals Retreat
  • Jones vigorously carried a gun while the others sharpened their sticks. Jones marched in front with intention: to recapture, reclaim and regain the farm and his former ownership of the property currently seized by farm animals
  • All animals mustered in their respective positions, Snowball, the strategist of it all, launched his first and second attack against the offensives.
  • The second attack of Jone’s and his army included Muriel, Benjamin, and all the sheep, while Snowball plotted against Jones, however, Jones fought back until Snowball deliberately signaled a motion of retreat to the animals.
