- The hawk is searching for a animal to eat for the rest of his life from the offer of the king.
- The hawk had worked for the king for many years and felt like he should retire. The king told the hawk that he should bring a animal to feast on to the king and the king will allow the hawk to feast on the animal without any trouble.
- The hawk went to find an animal to bring back to the king and on the journey, he gets advised by a friend. The hawk brought a owlet, then a baby chicken. The owl family caused to much what felt like harm and the chickens were loud. The hawk made a decision that he wanted to bring a fowl to the king.
- On the way to the king with the fowl, the hawk runs into his friend. His friend told him to trade the fowl with the chicken because the chickens will not cause any harm The friend stated that the chickens are only loud and do no harm but the fowl may cause mischief in the night. The hawk thought a lot about what his friend said and returned the fowl and exchange it with the chicken. The hawk took the chicken back to the king with no trouble
