- The Persians demanded tribute and for the people to serve them in the military then took harbors and land.
- What i gave you guys tribute and land and now i have to serve you!

- Athens helped the Ionians but they left after one battle and the Persians got revenge by burning Miletus.

- The persian king sent ambassodors to most of the greek city states and when athens and sparta declined king Darius sent his men to Marathon to attack athens
- Uh oh this isnt good!
- This is SPARTA!!!
- The Athenians met the persian at Marathon and put up a falinks formation in the valleys.It worked so well that even though they were outnumbered it is told that the persians lost heavily.

- Charge ahhhhhh!
- The persians retreated and went to Athens but Miltiades warned the city by sending a messanger to Athens and he got there in time but he fell down and died after running so long.
