- Benvolio and Mercutio search for Romeo after he snuck away from the party. Eventually, they get tired and stop searching.
- "Romeo, my cousin, where are you, Romeo, Romeo!"
- Juliet speaks her love for Romeo, unaware that he is close by and listening. Romeo doesn't know if he should respond and continues to eavesdrop.
- O Romeo, Romeo! Wherefore art thou Romeo?"
- "Deny your father and deny your name. Or, if you will not, swear by my love, And I will be no more a Capulet."
- Juliet says that even though Romeo is a Montague, his name has nothing to do with how is as a person. She wants to be with him regardless of his heritage.
- So even if Romeo had some other name, he would still be perfect. Romeo, take off your name which really has no connection to who you are and take all of me instead.
- Romeo leaves his cover and Juliet questions him. Romeo explains that he climbed huge wall just to see her due to his love. He knew the risk of being killed and still found Juliet.
- "I flew over these walls with the light wings of love. Stone walls can’t keep love out."
- "Tell me, how did you get in here?"
- "Aren't you Romeo, and a Montague?"
- Romeo and Juliet talk about how much they love each other and then engage intimately.
- "O, wilt you leave me so unsatisfied?"
- "What satisfaction can you have tonight?"
- Juliet tells Romeo if is his intentions are true they will get married. She will send a messenger to Romeo regarding where and when they get married. Romeo says he will consult Friar for help so that the couple can get successfully married.
- "Hence will I to my ghostly friar’s close cell,His help to crave and my dear hap to tell."
- "If that thy bent of love be honorable,Thy purpose marriage, send me word tomorrow."
