  • Then I found out I got the role I wanted - LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD!!! I was so, so, so, so, so, SO happy.
  • This year, I decided to join the drama club. I was very excited! In the fall I did the play, and I was happy about my role, even though it wasn't that large of a role. However, in the late winter, there was going to be a musical called Into the Woods which my friend convinced me to audition for. I have a problem where when I see the roles for a play/musical, I get over attached to one role that I really want. In this case, I REALLY wanted 'Little Red Riding Hood.' So in hopes of getting that role, I practiced my audition song (for Little Red) for a long time, and I worked very hard.
  • Then came the day of the audition, and I was so nervous. Nervous at that point was most definitely an understatement. There were so many people there, so it was very overwhelming. I was surprised to see so many people were confident, but the rest, like me, were anxious.

  • I did the best I could, even though I was pacing on stage out of a nervous reflex and mildly shaking while I was singing. I didn't really think I did well.
  • But he showed me things, many valuable things. That I hadn't thought to exploooore!
  • EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
  • I had made so many friends along the way, and figured out how to be more confident in myself. It was one of the best experiences of my life, and I wouldn't trade it for the world. I worked so hard over the months and learned how to sing well. I loved my lines, my songs, my costume, and everything about it. There were two performances total, and the first one went well!
  • My mom had COVID the week of my shows, but I had felt fine at my first show and all week. My first show was on Thursday, but on Friday I started to feel unwell. My next show was Saturday, the one my mom, my sister, all of my sister's friends, and most of my friends were going to go to. Saturday morning, I had completely lost my voice and felt terrible. I had to realize the truth. I had COVID. I was SO sad, because I knew it meant I couldn't do my show.
