After an experiment, cleaning up is very important! If we don't clean up correctly, an accident may happen, one which will cost a lot of money and pain!
After an experiment, you should never return chemicals to their original containers. You should clean up a spill immediately, or come check with me, your teacher, if you don't know how.
We have a special container to dispose of broken glass in - never throw it in the regular trash can! Keep chemicals, bottles, and other fragile objects away from the edges of the table. And wash your hands before going to your next class!

So, when class finally did an experiment, it went very wrong. Bill had done most of the lab correctly, but when it was time to clean up, he had no idea what he was doing.
The first mistake Bill made was returning the chemical to it's original container. The rest of the chemicals were now contaminated with tiny particles of other materials, which could cause a negative reaction in the container.
The next mistake Bill made was leaving the equipment too close to the edge of the counter.
