- Yes! I'm so exited! But..I've been wondering how Halloween was invented. Do you have any idea?
- Hi Sally! Aren't you so exited for Halloween?! I've been researching about it today.
- Hey, Are there any countries that don't celebrate Halloween?
- France,Germany,Holland,and Australia don’t celebrate Halloween. On October 31 they just don’t celebrate Halloween. Nobody knows why, but the Halloween tradition is not a word in their vocabulary.
- That's amazing! But do you know why we dress up in costumes on Halloween?
- Okay! The Samhain country was the first country to figure out Halloween. They thought that Long dead spirits roamed around there land. They thought if they dressed up in a costume, it would please the long dead spirits.
- Wow! But one last question: Why do people hand out candy and sweets on Halloween?
- Alright! When I talked about the Samhain people, they also thought that if they left tasty sweets on their doorsteps, that was another way to the please the Long Dead Spirits.

- Your welcome! We better be heading home now. My mom will be calling me for dinner.
- Yeah. Lets go home.
