Mrs. Dubose said a offense comment about Atticus and Jem got really mad.

"He did not begin to calm down until he had cut the tops off every camelliabush Mrs.Dubose owned, until the ground was littered with green buds and leaves". Ch.11

Since Jem got really mad he decided to cut the tops of Mrs. Dubose bushes as a revenge to calm him down.

"I cleaned it up for her and said I was sorry, but I ain't and that I'd work on 'em every Saturday and try to make 'em grow back out". Ch.11

"There was no point in saying you were sorry if you aren't". Ch.11

Jem was not truly sorry for actions but he received a punishment from Mrs. Dubose which is to come every afternoon after school and Saturdays and read to her out loud for two hours, for a month.

"I pushed my brother off the bed because he kept moving around and he started crying when then my parents entered".

"Why did you that!" "you know your not supposed to hurt your younger brother!"

I got in trouble that day because I had hurt my brother but I was really mad because they gave me a hard punishment for just pushing my brother off the bed.

"Since I was really mad i decided to water the plants we had outside until they were no longer standing up".

"I'm sorry to all of you".

"You will do all the inside and outside chores for 2 weeks and you will not be able to play outside until you finish your chores each day".

I had more punishments for the more actions I did and I apologized to clear everything.
