- Lennie gets upset when George took his mouse away (dead) & threw it in the water.
- "Maybe if you took care of your wife more, you wouldn't have to be running around looking for her."
- George & Lennie discuss how they are going to get the farm of their dreams. Candy eavesdrops, asks if he could be a part of it, & offers to help & give them $350.
- "what you laughing at big guy?"
- Curly came barging in asking if they have seen his wife which they answer no. He looked around the room and asks, "Wheres Slim?". They tell him that he's at the barn. He rushes towards the barn.
- "come Lennie"
- He returns he argues with Slim. "Maybe if you took more care of your wife you wouldn't have to look for her," says Slim. Lennie laughs & Curly says," what you laughing for big guy". They end up fighting & Curly faints.
- Curly didn't like the fact that Lennie was laughing. He went up to Lennie & punched him a couple of times before George told Lennie to fight back.
- George told Lennie to hit back & Lennie did as he was told. Curley ended up getting injured.
