- Jacob and Sushi have been reading a book about the Titanic and decided to go take a trip to find it!

- Oh my I can't believe we found the ship! I wonder how tall that flag pole is?
- Remember in the book it said the length of the boat was 50 feet and the flagpole stands in the middle, making the lengt 25 feet from the base of the flagpole to the end of the boat? Also keep in mind we are looking up at the flag pole at an angle of 32 degrees

- Exactly! the formula would be tan(32)= height/2525(tan(32))=height16.5 feet= height!
- Oh yes I remember that, reading that we can now use the tangent ratio we learned to find the height

- If the lenths between each friend is 10, 12, 15 feet we can use Haron's formula to find the area!

- In our case the formula would look like the square root of s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)To find "s" you add all sides together and divide by two.
- There for we would find the square root of 18.5(18.5-10)(18.5-12)(18.5-15)= 59.81 feet!
