NO! YOU CAN'T EAT THE CATTLE!

At long last... FOOD!

Zzzzzz...

Moo!

I will get my revenge. He-he!

Odysseus tried to warn the men not to eat any of the animals, but they didn't listen. They had all soon arrived on the island where Helios' cattle were kept. That infuriated the sun god.

"Driven by hunger, they ignore Odysseus' warning not to feast on Helios' cattle. This disobedience angers the sun god, who threatens to stop shining if payment is not made for the loss of his cattle."

This is what your men deserve for eating my son's cattle

AHHHHHH!!!

Zeus unleashes thunder on Odysseus' ship in an effort to placate Helios. Killing every man but Odysseus, the lone survivor.

"To appease Helios, Zeus sends down a thunderbolt to sink Odysseus' ship."

What is that? IS THAT A MAN?

On a piece of driftwood, Odysseus makes his way from the stricken boat to Ogygia, where the goddess Calypso had previously imprisoned him for seven years.

"He eventually drifts to Ogygia, the home of Calypso, who keeps him on her island for seven years."
