In the book, Harry Potter and the Sources Stone, Harry, and 11-year-old boy gets a mysterious letter, claiming that he was a wizard! A tall man, Hagrid, took him through Diagon Ally to get him supplies for the new school. He gets put into the Gryffindor house, makes friends Hermione and Ron, and finds a three-headed dog hiding a trapdoor. His friends help him discover what was down there and it was trials. Harry goes face-to-face with Professer Quirrel and realizes that he is a vessel for Voldemort. He defets Voldemort and tries to destroy the stone but before he could do that he wakes up in a hospital bed.

Harry Potter, an 11-year-old child, lives in a small, rusted room under the stairs with his aunt, uncle, and his bratty cousin. One day, he gets a mysterious letter, claiming he's a wizard. His aunt and uncle try to stop him from going until a small giant, Hagrid, helps Harry get out and get materials he needs for school. He takes him down Diagon Ally. He gets chosen into the Gryffindor house and make friends Hermione and Ron.

He's on a trapdoor?!
He starts taking lessons on how to be a wizard. He takes flying broom lessons and starts a game of Quidditch. Soccer and basketball but on broomsticks. After the game Harry found the three-headed-dog with Hermione and Ron. Hermione points out that he was standing on a trapdoor. The go down the trapdoor and realize they have to do trials.
During each of the trials, Ron, Hermione and Harry all get split up. Harry goes face-to-face with Professor Quirrel, who he found out to be a vessel for Voldemort. Harry defeats Quirrel/Voldemort before he could get the stone, and he wakes up in the Hospital Wing with Dumbledore smiling and praising him.

The moral of the story is that you can trust your friends to stick by you when you need them.
