- “La shukrun I don’t like knafeh very much.”
- :” Shadhd habibti, do you want knafeh?”
- After a while of talking, it was finally time for the most important and most delicious meal of the day: dessert time! For dessert we had crunchy but moist chocolate chip cookies, and stringy cheese knafeh. As we started to put our desserts on our plates, Aunt Leena asked if i wanted knafeh- Afterword's, just because I said this Issah blurted out- Issah said as he stuffed the last pieces of stringy sweet knafeh in his mouth, and again it was so good he couldn’t help but smack his lips. Then, Issah's mom got annoyed-
- ”Shadhd if you don’t like knafeh your not a true Palestinian!”
- And we all lived happily ever after.. Well, mostly..
- ok, ok.
- “Issah, you're 13, you're supposed to be the example for all of the little ones please stop smacking your lips, it's really impolite!”
- All of a sudden, Subhi's face turned red like a crimson ruby red tomato, and his eyes twinkled and sparkled like bright stars in the midnight skies then he whimpered-
- Subhi its just a joke.
- ”I don’t like knafeh, I’m not Palestinian Waa!”
- In a twinkling Subhi luckily realized he was Palestinian
- that's good because I thought I wasn't Palestinian for a minute phew!"
