- The goal of this act was to save money for the british. Colonist had to quarter or house british troops and take care of them.
- Stamp Act
- Officials could search your house without saying why and could do it whenever. The colonist saw this as an invasion of privacy and violation of rights
- Declatory Act
- We have control
- This act put an import tax on several products including molasses. If you were found smuggling you would suffer and harsh punishment.
- Townshend Acts
- Colonist had to buy stamps thats taxed all sorts of activities. The colonist did not like this and wanted to boycott this act.
- I hate buying this stamp!
- This stated that parliement had complete control over colonies. This set the stage for the trouble between colonies and britian.
- This act helped officers to find illegal goods smuggled or made. This set up a system to enforce new import duties.
