Storyboard Text

  • Hi Allison Kaz and Nick Gilhool, I am Jyothika Kalatturu and I’m going to be your next contestant on NBC’s Making It. I have been crafting for school and for fun my whole life. I can problem-solve which will help me on the show because things go wrong all the time. I can’t wait.
  • Talking
  • Starting slide with music and then me talking to the camera and introducing myself.
  • This is a picture of one of my creations as akid. Though it looks like an odd Rubik’s cube, it was more of like a symboliccreation for me. Under each colored piece of paper was something important tome, something that made me smile, or like a happy memory, and I wanted to putall the pieces that were important to me in one place so I can look at it on my bad days and make them better. Usually, people have a jar with notes orpopsicle sticks, but I also wanted to use this creation for more. I put my favorite pictures and cards in it to look at too. I really like using my past experiences like this to create things which is what the show is all about andI’m ready for it.
  • Video clip of my friends fighting and me stopping them
  • Picture of box project going from the top of my screen to hte bottom as I talk about it
  • ....
  • This is a project of mine for French class whereI had to create a replica of the Le Champs-Elysees, which is a monument in France. What is not show are the tiny bikers I had taped to the black road torepresent the Tour de France. I still got a good grade on it and my teacher used it as an example in class, so it was good.
  • Voiceover of me emplaining project in the back and transition between two pics of project
  • This is another project of mine also for Frenchclass where I had to create a replica of the French Maglev Train. It was a bithard because I needed the actual train to be firm and stand up. The nose partof the train with the curve was a bit difficult to make, but I problem-solved and figured it out. The actual train levitates above the ground which is why it’s so fast and I tried to imitate that in my replica as well.
  • Voiceover of me explaining another project with transition in between pictures
  • Hey guys stop fighting. That’s not the way to solveyour problem. Talk your stuff out. What you see here was a daily occurrence insome form during tennis season. I was captain of the varsity girl’s tennis teamand there was gossip or something always going around, and it was my job tosolve problems. I got good at problem-solving. When it’s just my problems Ihave to solve, it’ll be even easier like how it will be on this show.
  • This is why I should be your next contestant on NBC’s Making It. I can problem-solve, and I can craft, two qualities that are perfect for the show. I will look forward to a response from you guys.
  • Closing statements of me talking followed by consideration slide and credits screen. Music starts playing after i'm done talking.
