- Cheer up, they’ll soon forget aboutit. Let’s head to class.
- Do you know why they’re laughing atme?
- Hi Scott, don’t worry about theothers, they’re just idiots.I’m Penny, it’s my first day.
- Do you want to go get some coffeeafter class?
- Scott looks around looking for an excuse not to go.
- Jimmy walks off as Scott hangs back. Scott looks aroundhopelessly and goes to walk off to class as a nerdy girl,PENNY (17), approaches him. One person from the group isstill around and throws paper at Scott as he runs offattempting to catch the others.
- How was school?
- Scott looks around, he can’t make eye contact with her.Scott looks at Penny and smiles as the two walk of togethertowards class.
- Maddy, I wish I had your touch.Don’t you know, I miss you verymuch?
- Scott runs through the front door. His mother, JUDY (47),notices him as she watches her afternoon television.
- Scott runs straight past her to go to his room.He sits down at his desk and gets the webcam ready. He pullsout an acoustic guitar that looks like it has never beentouched before.
- Here goes nothing.He clicks the mouse to start recording. This one is for you, Maddy.He begins to attempt to play the guitar and sing. It isobvious that he cannot do either.
