- The stage is set to look like an old houses attic, covered in cardboard boxes and old furniture. The two lads appear, talking about their recently deceased grandparents. They start looking through the boxes.
- Stage
- They discover that in one of the boxes there is loads of old VHS tapes. They find a tape player attached to a projector so decide to play them.
- Film
- The first few clips are of the boy's grandparents, much younger, in the 70s messing around with a new video camera being 'cute'.
- Suddenly the video cuts to Richard the grandfather, he is panicked and is speaking straight to the camera. He explains that something weird happened at work that day, the usual news broadcast had been interrupted by a strange noise and static. He goes on to say that everyone at work ignored it and put it down to a rogue radio frequency but he thinks it's something else and he's filming so people don't think he's crazy.
- Confused and concerned the boys discuss what they've just watched, they remembered what their father had told them. Something had happened to their grandparents when they were younger causing everyone else to think they were crazy. Jacob finds a tape marked "the event". He puts it into the player.
- The tape shows an old news broadcast interrupted by a strange sound over television static with a very faint outline of a humanoid figure.
