Welcome to the Lab! Before we start, I am going to teach you two lab safety rules to ensure you guys are safe while experimenting in the Lab!
That makes sense!
I get it!
When you are in a lab it is important to not wear anything loose\due to the potential for ignition, absorption of chemicals, and potential entanglement in machinery.
Ohhh! Ok!
Rule 1: Never wear loose clothes or jewelry.
Nope!
Alright, now before we move on, any questions that you would like to ask?
Hmmm. I get this could hurt us but I am still curious as to what the chemicals smell like.
When you smell chemicals directly, Some chemicals with strong odors may cause eye, nose, throat or lung irritation. Strong odors may cause some people to feel a burning sensation.
I still wanna smell the chemicals though...
Ohhh ok! I get it now! Its like smelling sharpies!
Ok, So Rule #2 states that you should Never smell chemicals directly, waft instead. The reasoning for this is,
No, Miss!
So, before we start any questions or everybody understands?
Yea! Let's Do It!
Now that we know the rules of the lab, everyone ready to start the experiments?
