- Hercules was born as the son of the great god Zeus and the beautiful Alcmene. They were a loving family, but his stepmom Hera hated him as he was a living reminder of her husband's infidelity.
- Years later, when Herakles was much older, he was left in shock after the lost of his beloved family due to a tragic event caused by Hera, his stepmom.
- He thought this was all this was all his fault so he went and asked his good friend King Eurystheus to help with the matter. He gave Herakles 12 impossible tasks and told him that if he completed all of them he would be forgiven and be given immortality.
- The first task was to kill Nemea. An invincible, fearless lion. Herakles was luckily able to beat him and to demonstrate to the King that he accomplished the task. He wore the lion's scalp as a helmet, and the skin as a hide. As well as this he also brought King Eurystheus the remains of the deceased lion.
- The second task was to kill the Hydra, gigantic water-snake-like monster with nine heads. Every time Herakles would attempt to cut of one of the heads two more would grow. until, his nephew lolaus used fire to burn the heads off.
- The third task was to capture the deer with golden horns and bronze hoofs. He later found out it belonged to Artemis, the twin sister of Apollo and goddess of the Moon in Greek. After a long chase in the Mount Artemision, he captured the deer and promised to Artemis to bring it back to her safely.
