- The 2008 University of Florida Gators football team was one of the most dominant teams in College Football history.
- The Gators were so dominant that they finished the season 14-1 Beating 4 top 10 ranked teams and winning the national championship.
- And for some, the off the field issues were more extreme.
- Even though there success on the field there were issues in the classroom,
- In fact, a staggering 41 of 121 players on the teams roster has at some point been arrested. Many for simple crimes such as shoplifting and alcohol possession while under 21, But others were much more extreme like stalking, aggravated assault, and even first degree murder.
- So, many wonder with all of the these seemingly dysfunctional individuals, how could the Florida football team be functional enough on the field to be the best in the country?
- HOW???
- Or should it be credited to the incredible leadership by team captain, quarterback, and Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow?
- Should there success be credited to coaching by legendary college football coach Urban Meyer?
