Let's talk about what the difference between an American citizen's' duty opposed to responsibility
There are a lot of people that don’t know the difference between the duties and responsibilities of being an american citizen are. Getting these mixed up may be a problem later in life so I will now tell you the difference between the two so you can be a better american citizen.
Responsibilities:Voting,Support and defend the Constitution,Stay informed of the issues affecting your community,Participate in the democratic process,Respect and obey federal, state, and local laws,Respect the rights, beliefs, and opinions of others,Participate in your local community
Duties: Paying taxesServing on a juryRegistering with the Selective Service obeying the lawdefending the country
Duties are important because if we didn't have them people may get hurt and our country would most likely go out of control. Like if we didn’t follow the law the criminals could hurt people.and if we didn’t pay our taxes the government couldn’t give us things like fixing and providing things in our community
Responsibilities important because they let us know what going on and give us a choice in the government. They also Support and defend the Constitution.
Getting to know these things is a privilege that we have as an American citizen. When we learn the differences between the 2 we can be a better American citizens.
