- Egypt is located in Africa. Egypt was divided to two kingdoms, Upper and Lower Egypt. The Nile River is important because of food, water, protection, and spirituality to Egypt. The Nile River is the world's longest river. The Nile Delia was a part where people sold goodies.
- The cycles of the Nile were akhet, peret, and shemu. During akhet or innadation the Nile flooded. Peret is the time for farming. The land was rich and slit. Shemu was the time to havset. Ancient Egyptians use shadufesto irrigate farmlands. Trading took place in The Nile River.
- The Ancient Egyptians associated spirituality with the Nile River. A good farming season meant that the gods were happy. A bad farming season meant that the gods were mad at the people of Ancient Egypt. Osiris was murdered by his brother Seth. Isis went on a search and was able to collect all of her husband's body parts and placed them together with the help of her sister. Osiris came back to life. Hopi was the God of the Nile River and fertility. He was in charge of the flooding of the Nile River. The Nile River was used for recreational purposes such as swimming and fishing.
