Storyboard Text

  • what should be in that “Caesar?” Why should that name be sounded more than yours? Write them together, yours is as fair a name.
  • let us bathe our hands in Caesar’s blood Up to the elbows, and besmear our swords .And waving our red weapons o'er our heads Let’s all cry, “Peace, freedom, and liberty!”
  • not that I loved Caesar less, but that I loved Rome more.
  • There is tears for his love, joyfor his fortune, honor for his valor, and death for hisambition. Who is here so base that would be a bondman?If any, speak—for him have I offended.
  • Cassius trys to convine Brutus to join their conspiracy agients Caesar. Brutus eventually tells Cassius that he is also afraid about how much power Caesar has. Cassius then speaks more about his plans and Brutus promises him he will think about the things he’s said.
  • A friendly eye could never see such faults.
  • So Brutus eventually joins the conspiracy and they planned on the death of Caesar. When the assasination day comes, Brutus is the last one to stab Caesar. As the other conspirators celebrate, Brutus says to smear their hands in Caesars blood as a sign of “Peace, freedom, and liberty”
  • To tell thee thou shalt see me at Philippi.
  • After the assasination, Brutus got to speak at Caesars funeral. He tried to sway the crowd to try and make them understand their cause. He often describes Caesar as abitious. In the end however, Antonys speech persuaded the crowd ofter Brutus' speech and Brutus and Cassius had to flee.
  • Caesar, now be still.I killed not thee with half so good a will.
  • Brutus and Cassius are in Brutus's tent and start exchanges accusations. They grow angry with each other but quickly reconciled which proves their friendship and bond with one another.
  • I do not like your faults.
  • Later that day, the ghost of Julius Caesar appears to Brutus to tell hime that they will meet in Philippi. This would foreshadow the future of Brutus later on in the story when Brutus kills himself.
  • Why comest thou?
  • When Brutus's army is defeated by Antony's, Brutus decides he wants to end his own life. He does this because he prefers to die than to flee or be taken captive.
