  • As protests continued, it was only a matter of time before the revolution occurred. Leaders from the Continental Congress defied the British government and demanded a boycott of Goods from England. British troops were readied from Boston, and rebellious colonists began to train for war.
  • Prepare for battle! It seems we have some colonial rebels looking to defy us British troops.

  • The battle of Lexington was another significant event in the American revolution. In this battle, which was in 1775, soldiers of both armies lined up facing each other with their guns. The British commander told the Americans to leave. He also ordered his soldiers not to fire unless he said so.
  • I'm so scared...

  • Soon after, a shot was fired, probably by a panicked American. This so-called "shot heard round the world" caused the British line to fire at the Americans. The American's retreated with surprisingly few killed and wounded. A larger American militia in Boston later attacked these British forces. This marked the start of the American revolution.
