- THE PLAGUES OF EGYPT
- Because Pharaoh refused to set the Israelites free, God decided to punish him, sending plagues on to Egypt.
- Yet the Pharaoh does not let the Israelites go
- God ordered Aaron to touch the River Nile with his staff - and the waters were turned to blood. The fish in the river died and the Egyptians couldn't drink the foul water.
- Frogs swarmed the lands of Egypt. Dust turned to Gnats and covered the people and the livestock. Flies filled every house in Egypt
- Yet the Pharaoh refuses to let the Israelites go
- The Pharaoh asked for forgiveness, yet he quickly he changed his mind
- Boils break out on the Egyptians and their livestock died. As hail strikes down on everything, Locus destroyed crops. And finally never ending darkness covered Egypt for 3 days
- The final plague was that every firstborn son of man and cattle in Egypt will die. Including the Pharaoh's son
- It was the final blow and the Pharaoh finally set the Israelites free
- The series of events had led to the Exodus. It was a way of God showing that he is the most powerful and the only true God
- And every Israelite will know that their God is nothing like the gods the Egyptians have worshiped
