- These things have to stop or else it might get worse
- Yes, a lot of us will suffer because of our own carelessness
- But what we can do? we are just young students.
- Of course we can do something and we are all responsible in taking care of our environment
- Taking Care of the Environment
- Guys let's do our share in taking care of our environment. Let us all set an example to others.
- Always remember to throw all recyclable materials like bottled water, plastic wrappers and other plastics in the Non-Biodegradable waste container
- We can sell the recyclable materials and we can use the fund for our community improvement. All wastes like left-over foods, fruits and vegetable peels should be placed in the Biodegradable waste container
- We can actually make an organic fertilizer out of these biodegradable wastes

- I will just open the curtain so the sunlight can enter the room and we don't need to open the lamp
- Wow that can save electricity.
- Well I usually turn off all the appliances in our home when not in use
- Alfred, Billy, Cathy and Debbie are watching the news about the strong typhoon that hit many provinces in Mindanao. There were floods and landslides because there are no more enough trees to absorb the rain water. The forests are now bald due to illegal logging. Floods are everywhere due to lot of waste materials in the drainage. They realized that they should do something to take care of the environment.

- Debbie, we should not let the water to constantly flow when we are washing.
- Yes Cathy, that's why I always use a cup when brushing my teeth to conserve water.
- The four friends started taking care of the environment by following the waste segregation rules and set an example to other people.

- Wow! there are really a lot wastes around the sea. These wastes can be eaten by the fishes and other bodies of water and could kill them.
- When that happened there will be no more fishes to eat and no job for the fishermen too.
- Debbie never forgets to turn off all the appliances in their home after using it. She opens the window curtain so the sunlight can enter the room and no need to use the light during the day. Turning off the electrical appliances will not only save energy and electricity but will also protect the environment because less coal will be used for electricity if all of us will practice saving energy.

- We should all do something to take care of our environment even in our own little ways. We can plant vegetables and other plants in our backyards
- We can join others in planting new trees in the forest.
- Yes, all of us can do something to protect our environment and the right time is now.
- Cathy and Debbie practices water conservation. They don't let the water in the faucet to flow constantly when washing their hands or brushing their teeth. Water is very essential in our life so we should exert our efforts to conserve it. We cannot live without water so water itself is life.
- Yes and we should report immediately if there is any leaks in the faucet so it can be fixed right away.
- Whenever we have a chance to go to the sea, we can look and inspect the surroundings if there are waste materials around. If there's any, we should initiate to clean up the surroundings by picking up and collecting the wastes. We can also encourage other people to join us. There are also living creatures in the sea and around it that needs to be protected by taking care of its environment.

- I will segregate the biodegradable wastes so we can burry it in the soil and can be a natural fertilizer for the plants.
- We can still make a difference. Let us all set a good example by maintaining its cleanliness
- It is everyone's responsibility to take care of our environment because this the home that God has entrusted to us. Let us all protect and take care of our environment so that the next generation can still enjoy the gift of nature.
- We can actually plant even in small pots if we have limited space.
