- The death of Jose Rizal
- Make Haste!
- On June 26, 1892, Dr. Jose Rizal arrived in Manila, Philippines, from Europe via Hong Kong, accompanied by his sister Lucia. He went to Malacañang Palace to meet Governor-General Eulogio Despujol, but was quickly apprehended by authorities.Suddenly, he was arrested by the officials.

- The final hours of Rizal. Captain Rafael Dominguez read Rizal the death sentence at 6:00 a.m. on December 29, 1896, and ordered him to be executed in the rear by a firing squad at 7:00 a.m. In Bagumbayan.
- Before you judge him, look within yourself.All he sought was equal treatment for Spaniards and Filipinos.
- Rizal is someone who bring ill will to our country and its citizens, which is punishable by death.

- Following the kangaroo trial, Rizal was led to his cell at Fort Santiago at 7:00 a.m., one hour after the death sentence was read. His last 24 hours were the busiest of his life, as if he were attempting to make a deadline.

- Rizal's mother came at 4:00 p.m. He begged pardon, and they were both in tears as the soldiers separated them.
- My dear mother, please collect my lifeless body after the execution and bury it at the foot of the mountain with one stone and a cross. I'm sorry for what I've done. Thank you, and farewell.

- Trinidad then entered the jail to collect her mother. Trinidad recognized Rizal's whispered statement that "there is something inside the alcohol cooking stove" as they were leaving. This "something" was Rizal's final poem.
