- This is the first time you hit something when you throw
- We can't believe you threw a book at a teacher.
- One Week Later
- Hi Junior
- Oh Mr P.
- Because...um...I...
- Do you know why you hit me with that book?
- Uh...what?
- Junior gets suspended and his parents and sister talk to him while his grandmother is crying making him ashamed.
- You did something very bad and I want to hit you but I can't since I want forgiveness for hurting Indians.
- Junior is a week into suspension and is sitting on the porch when he meets Mr. P.
- I am mad at everyone on the reservation for giving up hope but you deserve better and you need to believe that.
- They start talking when Mr P. asks Do you know why you hit me with that book? and Junior tries to come up with an excuse.
- Hope????
- Mr P. tells Junior that he did something very bad and that he wants to hit Junior with a stick but he can't because he wants forgiveness for hurting the Indians.
- He tells Junior that he is mad at Indians and everyone on the reservation for giving up hope and tells Junior to believe that he deserves better which makes him cry.
- Mr. P. tells Junior to leave the reservation and find hope, and Junior ponders about it.
