- In the book, Darling by K. Antrum, Peter comes through the window of Wendy Darling's house, and invites her to a party. This moment is not what it seems like because Wendy finds him non-threatening because he is just a kid he has other plans.
- After the police show up at the train station Peter runs and Wendy is left alone, so Peter sends his friends to get her, but they misunderstand his instructions, and kidnap her. Peter gives her a chance to leave because he feels badly about how the night has gone. However because he seems sincere she decides to stay. As they get ready for the party, and Andy discovers the strange dynamic of the house where Peter plays the role of a dad, but there is a weird undertone.
- Soon after they get at the party Wendy the police arrive, and all of Peter's friends are arrested, but Peter is safe. She is told the terrifying truth that Peter is not a teenager, but actually a 36 year old man. He takes in kids who need a home, but then murders them on their 18th birthday because as they get older they start to see past his lies.
