- Don't swear, I've told y'
- If i'm careful we can just scrape by, even with another mouth to feed.
- Plural Mrs Johnstone. Mouths to feed. You're expecting twins. Congratulations.
- Twins? You're expecting twins?. .........Give one to me
- What? Give one to you?
- Mrs. Johnstone has 7 kids, and is struggling to manage and take care of them without the help of their father around anymore.
- 'Ey, we were born on the same day... that means we can be blood brothers. Do you wanna be my blood brother, Eddie?
- Yes, please
- With another 2 on the way, she's worried as to what she will do, and how she might manage a family as big as hers.

- ...It's just....just this place.... I hate it. Richard, I don't want to stay here any more. I want to move
- .....I want to stay here.
- Edward...how would you like to move to another house?
- One day, while cleaning for her employer Mrs. Lyons, Mrs. Johnstone and Mrs. Lyons have an interesting conversation. Mrs. Lyons realizes that due to not being able to have kids, but badly wanting some, she can ask Mrs. Johnstone for one of her babies, as she was under the impression that it would benefit both parties by taking the load off of Mrs. Johnstone, and giving Mrs. Lyons what she desperately wants. Although, it all happened so suddenly, and some may argue, quite manipulatively.
- 'Ey, we'll be all right out here, son, away from the muck an' the dirt an' the bloody trouble...
- It's like the country, isn't it, Mam?
- Nearly 8 years later, both twin boys Mickey Johnstone Edward Lyons , separated a birth, meet once again, but this time unknowingly. They find out they're born on the same day, and so they make a pact to be Blood Brothers, and always stay by each other. Their mothers find out, and they aren't happy about it.
- Due to this, Mrs. Lyons expressed her concerns ambiguously about Edward, and proposed the idea of moving houses to try and stop Edward from being and coming in contact with the Johsntones and, eventually, t ended up happening, although Edward wasn't happy about it.
- After Edward said his goodbyes, Mickey was left feeling sad, and especially lonely. To his luck though, Mrs. Johnstone found a new job, almost exactly where the Lyons' family moved to: The countryside.
