Storyboard Text
- In the small village, Mr. Summers starts up the lottery just like he does every year for the village, just like how Mr. Summer conducted the square dances, the teen club, and the Halloween program.
- Exposition

- When it finally comes to the time of picking the pieces of paper from the box, Bill Hutchinson got the black dot on the paper but his wife Tessie argued him out of getting Bill out of the punishment or what would happen to him.
- Conflict
- Then all of the Hutchinson family had to choose a piece of paper from the box and the whole family including Bill, Jr., Nancy, little Dave, Tessie and himself, Bill Hutchinson.
- Rising Action
- They all went up and chose a piece of paper from the box, they then went back to where they were standing and started to reveal that Tessie Hutchinson was the one with the black dot piece of paper.
- Climax
- After realizing she got the piece of paper with the black dot, she started screaming it's not fair, it's not right. The villagers then started to pick up rocks from nearby.
- Falling Action
- Then one of the villagers hit her in the head with a rock and then the other starts to follow and throw rocks straight towards her head.
- Resolution
