- Trip and Lyla than began to talk on the phone and started a conversation almost everyday. This would help them to help each other and even improving their relationship.
- When Trip and Lyla decide to meet in the practice room to try out the guitar, Lyla tells Trip to sing which he refuses but decides to sing anyways.
- Annie then realizes what Lyla was doing and had a fight of why Lyla should not hang out with Trip and that she would choose the man for her. This moment is when both Lyla's and Annie's friendship start to separate.
- Trip and Lyla were invited to audition in a wedding to temporarily replace the musicians that were out of town. They started to sing and everyone loved their music and singing giving Trip some courage.
- After the wedding and audition both Lyla's dad and Trip's mom found out what they were doing and decided to take them back home. Unfortunately, in Lyla's dad's car, they encounter a deer and would end up in serious car accident leaving Lyla in a coma.
- When Trip hears the news about Lyla. He breaks down and begins to blame himself for the accident like he has a curse. One day he snaps and breaks some flower pots until there were no more. His mom than sat next to him and promises to now sooner or later if she will be okay or not and if she will recover.
