Elizabeth Best is sitting in the cafe of her small English Retirement Village with her friends, Ibrahim, Joyce and Ron. Every Thursday, they gather to discuss files Ibrahim has kept since he was young, about murders that were dismissed and called suicide. Joyce's dog Alan sits impatiently at her feet.

ACT 1: CONFLICT
Looking into a file, they discover Bethany Waites was a reporter who died in 2010. She died when her car drove off the cliff 4 hours after she left. Her destination was a ten minutes' drive, meaning she took a detour and met someone. Overall, it had been dismissed as simple murder, and the murderer had been convicted, but Elixabeth, Ron, Joyce and Ibrahim knew otherwise.

ACT 2: RISING ACTION
However, on the way home, Elizabeth gets a message:'I want you to kill Viktor, and if you don't, I will kill your friend.'Shaken, she hides it. At the same time, the police are interviewing different people to see if they could find the murderer.

ACT 3: CLIMAX
Elizabeth visits Viktor's house three weeks later, and fakes his death by shooting a bullet to the roof. She discovers the threatener was stalking her by keeping track of her SIM car on her phone. It all goes worng when the threatener finds out...Meanwhile, the police find a murder weapon and hundreds of thousands of pounds in the backyard of the scammer's associate's backyard. The lady sent to jail for 'murdering' Bethany died in jail.

ACT 4: FALLING ACTION
The death of the framed murderer is investigated while Elizabeth's threatener pays a visit to her house. A stupid decision led to him being drugged by a cup of tea and, when he woke up, convinced to change sides and be an ally in the investigation. With that sorted out, Ibrahim can begin planning how to get how they think Bethany's murderer to admit what he did.

ACT 5: DENOUEMENT
A carefully planned interview caused local Chief of Police Andrew Everton to open up about the fraud Bethany was investigating and murdering the framed woman in jail, all filmed and posted live on social media. However, he never said anything about Bethany Waites.The murder still half unsolved, the four members of the Thursday Murder Club went back to their normal lives. Little did they know, Everton's threat to Bethany never killed her, but scared her to run away.
