  • The Sons Of Liberty where a Patriotic Organization. The Sons Of Liberty tarred and featherd people, chased stamp collectors out of town, messed up homes of British Officials, gave patriotic speeches, and led boycotts.
  • Daughters Of Liberty helped the Patriotic cause for independence. Daughters Of Liberty also spun wool into thread, they had Spinning-Bees, where they made yarn & thread all day, and all night. they did this because people where boycotting British cloth . They supported the tea boycott and would refuse to marry anyone that bought British tea. They followed their husbands into war, and some pretended to be men to help fight in war.
  • Samual Adams was a Son of Liberty who encouraged the colonists to disguise themselves as Mowhawk Indians and throw tea overboard in response to the Tea Act.John Hancock was known for smuggling tea and molasses in the city to avoid the paying the Sugar Tax.
  • There were many heroes in the Revolution. One of them was a man named Robert Shurtlift. He served in the Continental Army. No one knew Robert was a 22 year old women, named Deborah Samson. One day she got shot and had to go to the hospital. She had to reveal her identey and she got honored by getting premisson to leave the army. lots of storys have been told about Molly Pitecher. it was told that she brought water to solders, doged cannen balls, and helped shoot at the British.
  • On 12 / 16 / 1773, the Sons Of Liberty met at the Boston Harbor, dressed up as Mowhawk Indians and dumped about 342 chests of tea into the harbor to boycott the tax on tea.
  • The stamp act was, "taxation without repesention" they said. The Stamp Act of 1765 taxed all paper, dice, cards, marriage and licences to show taxes had been paid. Sons of liberty threw rocks and other objects at stamp colecters windows, smashed there belongings, and chaced them out of town.
