- I was checking my email and it said i had a UPS package that got lost. But i didn't even order anything nor do I use UPS.
- Coming grandma!!
- Oh grandma, don't worry about it. It's just a phishing email. Phishing is when they pretend that you did something when you haven't and they try to get you to call a number or click a link, then try to get you to spend your money
- No never click the links or call the number. The scammer on the other side will know that you're vulnerable and continue to trick you until they can't anymore.
- Okay that makes more sense now. I was just confused on whether to click the link or not.
- So know that you know, just look out for suspicious emails, that have spelling errors, weird links that don't look legit and that doesn't address you by your name but by a generic universal name for both genders.
