Troy doesn't believe that Lyons has respobility that is reliable for because Lyons can't even pay troy back for what he gives him as a "loan". This barrier is troy can't rely on Lyons for paying him back or getting on his own two feet.
Troy has trouble accepting the good deed for he has done for Gabriel which is a barrier for troy blaming himself for being selfish about taking Gabriel money.
This barrier shows how Cory wants Troy to understand how football is important but Troys does not want that boy to get his hopes up because of he experience.
