  • Pathogens are foreign objects to the body. They could be anything, from viruses to bacteria. The B and T white blood cells are a part of your body's lines of defense against harm from pathogens. Your skin is the first line of defense, and is always protecting you from pathogens every day.

  • Bacteria, considered a pathogen, spreads from place to place through your body getting rid of it in some form. This is how infection works. It doesn't always happen, but it regularly does.
