- Hi fellow Kababayans, this is Yuri Park, your reporter for today, and we'll be talking about climate change.
- Did you know that, according to the World Health Organization, our health is in big danger because of the rise in temperature, which is getting worse each year?
- Before we further do so, let us know what climate change is.
- In fact, some studies say that climate change in 2024 and the years to come is only expected to get worse. For example, there is a 93% chance that one of the years between 2022 and 2026 will be the warmest year to date
- Climate change has a long-term impact on temperature, weather patterns, and global temperature because of too many greenhouse gases.
- As new technology and preventive measures are developed to counteract the effects of climate change, the picture for 2024 doesn't appear to be much better because we cannot just rely on this alone; we have to be part of it.
- As per Laudato si, which Pope Francis wrote to all people in the world, we need a common plan to protect our common home. Let us listen to the cry of the earth and the poor.By simply avoiding the use of plastic or segregating garbage. And together, let's slow down on consuming and throwing away; let's live a simple life. Let's let the earth recover from the damage that we have caused.
