Storyboard Text

  • That's not our son out there. We can't open the door
  • After the second wish is made, someone starts knocking on the door. Mrs. White becomes very excited and runs towards the door. Mr. White gets there first and blocks his wife from opening it. He warns her that the person outside probably won't be the same person as their son.
  • Mrs. White pushes past her husband and opens the door. When she does, she sees her son. When she sees that it's actually Herbert, she becomes even more excited. Mr. White still doesn't know how to feel, since the wish will probably come with a consequence.
  • The White family goes into the living room to sit down and talk. While they're talking, Mr. White notices that Herbert is acting a lot different than normal. He tries to signal to Mrs. White but she is to happy to believe that anything is wrong with her son.
  • When they finally go to bed, Mr. White tries to tell Mrs. White what he noticed about Herbert, but she gets really angry. She starts yelling at him and ignores what he is trying to tell her. Mr. White gives up on trying to reason with her and goes to bed.
  • While at breakfast, Mr. White notices more weird behavior from Herbert. He doesn't seem to know what anything is. When Mrs. White asks him if he needs any help, he starts insulting her. Mrs. White becomes very sad because Herbert has never disrespected his parents before. She then starts to notice the weird behavior that Mr. White was talking about.
  • Mr. and Mrs. White go back to their room and have a conversation about Herbert. They decide to have Mr. White make a wish for everything to go back to normal. Mr. White takes out the monkey's paw and makes a wish. Once he wishes, they hear a bang in Herbert's room. They go to check on them and see that he's gone. It's just them by themselves again.
