  • Sister can you help me inunderstandingthe concepts of large numbers. I really don't know much about large numbers .
  • These are the 3 important points in large numbers-1. Rules on how to read and write them2.Different forms in which a large number can be expressed3. How to compare them
  • sure Rohan. lets get started
  • the answer will be ninety lakhs eighty thousand sixty five
  • CORRECT !
  • In reading you have to start from the left to right example how will you read 90,80,065 ?
  • ok sister. So how will we write the word form.
  • Standard form is the simplest one because you just write the number itself. In Expanded form you take a number and expand every single number in it by writing its place value except it's not for zeros
  • Rohan, we can write numbers in three different forms Expanded form, Standard form and Word form
  • It's easy "Fifty six lakhs seventy thousand nine
  • Now lets learn how to compare numbers. The first rule is that a number with more digits is larger than a number with less digits.
  • Like if there is 89,00,764 and 89,00,757 first they both have same amount of digits then I have to start comparing from the biggest place value. Isnt it?
  • In word form you will be expressing a number using words instead of numerals. Now how would you write 56,70,009 in word form?
  • Rule number two is that if both the numbers have equal digits look at the biggest place value and go from there to the left until you find a different number and then compare them (they should be at the same place value)
  • Yes sister. you really made it very easy for me. Thank you so much.
  • i hope now it will be easy for you understanding the concepts of large numbers.
  • THE END
