- Articles of Confederation
- I want to rule like New Jersey
- But I want to rule like Virginia
- Articles of Confederation
- You can't do that!
- Nothing in my states laws says i can't.
- Shays Rebellion
- This is not fair, I cant afford this !
- Lets revolt against it, I will lead us.
- The Articles of Confederation were written because the states wanted to stay states and keep their different ways of life.

- This is so embarrassing, what are we going to do?
- But in result of letting each state have their own way of ruling riots broke out because people had to much freedom to do as they please.
- Constitutional Convention
- Okay delegates, now how can we fix the Articles?
- Massachusetts raised taxes without consent of its constituency So Shay’s led a revolt, shutting down the court houses.

- And there you go, Our new form of government is made.
- After the revolt was eventually shut down it became a huge embarrassment that spurred a need to hold a Constitutional Convention.
- Lets hold a convention to try and figure this out .
- In 1787 delegates met to discuss ways to improve the Articles of Confederation.
- Hmmmm...Anyone have any ideas?
- In the end they developed a new plan of government, our Constitution.
