Sorry to disturb you Miss Sullivan, but I wanted to tell you about how I have been feeling this past week because of some students.
It's alright. Go ahead!
When I first came to this school, I was feeling so good about everything. About my friends and my studies but everyone started to make fun of me because of my disability.
Nyeesha wasn’t sure what to do after feeling this way, but then she remembered how she could talk to Miss Sullivan at school. Nyeesha felt good about her decision. She was going to talk to Miss Sullivan tomorrow.
Whenever I walked into a classroom, everyone would laugh at me and tell me I couldn't learn in a wheelchair. When I tried to play basketball, others would laugh at me.
The next day, Nyeesha felt confident enough to go to the principal and tell her about what was going on.
I think it's great that you came to me because I have some great advice for you.
I just wanted to let it all out. Talk to someone I could trust. I remembered how you told me that I could tell you if I had any problems, so I came straight here.
Nyeesha started explaining.
1. Use websites like kidshelpline or beyond blue to talk to professionals about your feelings.2. Write down your feelings in a journal to let them all out.3. Never stop believing in yourself because it is one of the greatest things that can help you achieve your goals.
