I propose the Great Compromise where each state is granted, no matter the size or population, an equal voice in the upper house.

We all agree and approve this proposal!
Establishing the Compromise
We finally establish the 3/5th's Compromise.
Yes, that way 3/5th's of the states slave population will be counted for representation and that way we do not have to debate about that.
The South delegates debating. Other delegates arguing behind them.
We insist that slaves should be counted as part of the population for representation.
The North debating their opinion about slaves. More delegates debating behind them
We oppose. We believe slaves should not!
Southerners getting worried.

James Madison was arguing that slave trade was evil. Others agreed that slave trade was dying out.
Convention delegates voted to permit the importation of slaves until 1807. Northerners agreed to the compromises.
Convention is over! It was good for all the delegates to get together. Now let's see how the Constitution starts moving forward.
