Earth has many resources for our everyday survival, like food and water. Even though they are renewable at the moment, they will eventually run out. Freshwater is one of these resources that needs to be protected before it's too late.
We can balance the conservation practices by turning off the water when we don't need it with use of freshwater.
Freshwater is something that humans and animals alike need to survive. We use it to drink, bathe, and other things. But since it is something we need to survive, we also waste it, use it for things that are not key to surviving, and just use it consistently.
You can help conserve freshwater by...
-Position sprinklers to only water the lawn and garden, not the sidewalk or driveway
-Turn off the faucet when brushing your teeth
-Wash only FULL loads of laundry
Ways to Conserve
Turn off water when we don't need it
Still having enough freshwater to survive.
Although I want to help the conservation of freshwater, we shouldn't focus on it right away. There are more important matters that need to be taken care of, like the Australian forest fires and the turtles that eat plastic bags.
But even though we aren't paying a big attention to conservation, be sure to turn off the water when you're not using it. It can help the Earth in a big way.
