I have made quite a lot of changes here and some major ones are that all the characters are a bit younger because I wanted it to be sort of relatable to me and my age group. The button kills someone that is selfish and you get $100,000 because the more money the better! Steward's name didn't change from the original but he actually made the button and it was for some sort of revenge on Conner. Steward somehow knew that it would be Conner that would push the button because Nala is the moral one. Instead of the woman being the selfish one, that man is because it is just more interesting when there is change! But, there are also some similarities like there being a button, Steward being a man, and a man dies. So, overall, I hope you like it.

Scene 1
This is a machine that I made! Let's check it out inside!
Two best friends Nala and Conner were enjoying the sun by the pool, when their friend Steward came with this cool looking box. The box was blue, but it had an orange button. Steward said he made this box and he wanted Nala and Conner to have it. They decided to go into Nala's room to find out more about it. Although, Nala isn't that enthusiastic about the box!

Scene 2
If you press the button, you get $100,000 but someone in the world that has a selfish heart will DIE.
Now that they are in Nala's room, Steward explains what the box does and how it works. He explains that if you press the button, you will get $100,000 BUT someone who has a selfish heart will die! Conner isn't actually that bothered by the idea--he can't get over the fact that you can get $100,000 by just pressing a button! Nala, on the other hand, is horrified by the idea! Why would ANYONE want to KILL someone?

Scene 3
It's NOT a good idea. You shouldn't MURDER someone no matter how much money you get.
The next day, the two best friends meet up at soccer practice. They share their feelings about the box. Nala knows her morals and she knows that it is NOT a good idea to be by the button much less press it! Conner is more selfish and still can't believe that he can get $100,000 by pressing a simple button. He is trying to forget that the cost is someone's life--at least you're killing a bad person, right?

Scene 4
I am going to push that button no matter what Nala says! I REALLY want that $100,000.
All day, Conner has been thinking about the things that he could buy with that $100,000. So, a few days later, on the bus ride home from school, Conner decides to sit next to Steward so he can get the box. Steward is happy with giving the machine back so Conner can try it out.

Scene 5
I can't wait to get my money!
That night, Steward gives him the box. Conner was so excited, he HAD to press the button as soon as possible. When it was time to go to sleep, Conner's dreams were all about money raining from the sky. It was heaven!

Scene 6
He's dead, he's really DEAD!
That very next day, Nala comes crying to Steward and says that Conner was found dead in his bed! All Steward thought was, "Finally, my plan worked!"
