  • The hunting for Wednesday was over and it was time for the 6 hours of leisure. Chace still wasn't back he was obsessed with hunting, and chasing a bison was more enjoyable than any type of leisure for him. It wasn't uncommon for Chace to keep hunting and mastering his skills by himself instead of having free time. This time was completely different. Chace was away for two nights and even though he knew that he had to be home since a big migration was planned for the next morning; the earth had stopped giving plants and resources. Thus we are heading to a new place where we can survive.
  • CHACEEEEE
  • Recently, when hunting we passed an unusual building with many plants growing around it, but not in a way that they grow next to our homes. When we approached them and asked what they did to survive, they said that they cultivated plants and animals in order to get food, and already had a surplus of food. That was unheard of, we didn’t believe them and moved on.
  • Later, I thought about the cultivation of resources, and suddenly many other foragers that we met appeared in my head. They told me about “farms” and enormous communities that lived in one place the whole time and had enough food because they grew it. In addition, many hunters-gatherers switched up their way of life and became farmers, the constant availability of food and a calm lifestyle attracted them like bees to honey. The people who lived in farms fed and grew animals in order to later extract food and even other resources from them (like milk). These people were able to domesticate and take control of both animals and plants, so it’s no surprise that their lifestyle attracts many people. Apparently farmers settled and lived a sedentary lifestyle in lands that constantly blessed them with resources, that’s why their communities grew bigger and bigger.
