- It was prophesized that Banquo's children will be king. I cannot let this happen. They cannot take my throne.
- This scene is important because it shows how insecure Macbeth is about Banquo and how he is willing to "solve" the issue by hiring murderes to get rid of his friend and his friend's son.
- Yes my Lord.
- You must follow Banquo and Fleance. I need them disposed of for they pose a threat to my throne.
- Get over yourself Macbeth. What's done is done. you need to put on a brave face for the guests we are hosting this evening.
- I have done so many terrible things. Karma is coming for us. I am full of scorpions and fear of what Banquo and his son may do to us. I am envious of duncan who sleeps well in his grave.
- This scene is important because it shows the doubts that Macbeth is having about everything him and his have done so far. It also depicts how Lady Macbeth is not remorseful as she's basically telling Macbeth to get over it and carry on like everything is fine.
- This scene depicts the murderers finding Banquo and his son. Banquo fell before the assassins while Fleance was able to run.
