- Edmund told Regan and Cornwall about Gloucester's plan so when Gloucester brought Lear back to his castle, he was immediately arrested and brought before Regan and Cornwall where he was charged with treason. Cornwall then begins to rip Gloucester's eyes out, Cornwall's servents tried to stop him, but were killed resulting in Gloucester loosing both his eyes and being sent to the streets to find his way back home. Shortly after Cornwall was killed. Lear was sent to dover where he united with Cordelia.
