The day had finally arrived. Mrs. G's class was heading to the zoo! After learning about all of the different types of animals, the students were ready for their trip.
Good morning, class. Today is the big day! We are heading to the zoo!
As the students waited patiently on the bus, Mrs. G explained to them where to go when they exited the bus and the importance of staying with their “seat buddy” at all times.
As they stood in front of the zoo, Johnny raised his hand to ask Mrs. G a question. He asked, “Mrs. G, what types of animals are we going to see today?”“Well,” Mrs. G replied, “We’ll see lions, monkeys, bears, and elephants to name a few.”
“Really?” Johnny said. “I can’t wait!” and quickly darted to the left as Mrs. G turned her back.“But remember,” said Mrs. G, “the most important rule for today.”“Stay with your seat buddy in line!” replied all of the students except for Johnny.
The students were enjoying the trip as they made their way to Monkey Manor until shy Susie slowly approached Mrs. G and told her that she didn’t know where her seat buddy, Johnny, was.
