- “When I went to college the only options for women were nurse or teacher, and I chose nurse. At the time, there weren’t very many 4 year nursing programs at all, and I had to beg my parents not to make me just do a practical certification. I enjoyed my career very much and don’t regret becoming a nurse, but if I wish I had had the ability to pursue a simpler path if I wanted to.”
